Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Series

Firefighter Protective Clothing

Features: multi-layer protection / reflective identiAfication / flame retardant breathable
Firefighting protective clothing is the standard equipment for firefighters to enter the fire scene.

Protective Structure: Composite of four layers: the outer layer (flame retardant and wear-resistant), the waterproof and breathable layer (water vapour barrier), the heat insulating layer (resisting high temperatures), and the comfort layer (close to the body and breathable), forming a three-dimensional protective network.

Detailed design: the yellow and silver reflective logo band on the outer layer is like a life signal light in thick smoke, ensuring quick positioning among teammates; the sealing design of the cuffs and collar prevents sparks from splashing in.

Application Scenario: Firefighter protective clothing is suitable for all kinds of fire scenes, fully protects the head, neck, torso and arms, and allows firefighters to move freely in high temperature, smoke, and the threat of falling objects.

Emergency Rescue Safety Suit

Features: Lightweight and flexible / all-terrain adaptation
When firefighters face traffic accidents, building collapses, earthquakes, mudslides and other non-fire disasters, they will change into emergency rescue suits.

Functional features: Wear-resistant and tear-resistant material, taking into account flexibility and protection; trouser leg and elbow reinforcement design, convenient for climbing, breaking and other high-intensity operations.

Scenario advantages: In mountain rescue, it can resist rock friction; in high-altitude operation, it can be used with safety ropes for quick action, and it is an all-round equipment to cope with the complex battlefield.

Special Environmental Attack Clothing

Class I Chemical Protective Clothing
Features: fully enclosed protection / strong penetration resistance
When dealing with chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and other highly concentrated, strongly permeable gas leaks, firefighters are required to wear Class I chemical protective clothing.

Level of protection: Adopting gas-tight and fully enclosed design with independent gas supply system, it can provide the highest level of protection for a short period of time in a toxic gas environment.

Limitations: Due to heavy and stuffy, class I chemical protective clothing  is only suitable for emergency disposal and needs to be paired with teammates to complete the task quickly.

Class II Chemical Protective Clothing

Features: Llight chemical protection / hypoxic environment applicable
Commonly known as lightweight chemical protection suit, mainly used for liquid chemical leakage, acid and alkali corrosive scenarios or oxygen-deficient environments (e.g. underground pipelines).

Design Advantages: The material is light and breathable, allowing firefighters to work for long periods of time; the transparent mask with ventilation system protects the field of vision and breathing safety.

Typical scenario: Chemical plant tank leakage scene, firefighters wearing it can directly contact with liquid pollutants, leakage plugging or transfer operations.

Fire Entry Suit Fire Proximity Suit Fire Entry Clothing

Features: Extreme heat / short burst
When it is necessary to go deep into the centre of the fire, through the fire area or close to the source of high temperature radiation, the fire-avoidance protective clothing becomes the ultimate protection.

Core material: The outer layer is made of ceramic fibre composite, which can withstand temperatures above 1000°C; the inner layer is filled with heat-insulating felt to ensure that the surface temperature of the human body is below 40°C.

Use rules: Limited to short time (generally no more than 30 minutes) operation, fire entry suit proximity suit need to be matched with air respirator, to complete the emergency break-in, rescue and other offensive tasks.

Water and Special Operations Clothing

Ice Rescue Suits & PPE for First Responders

Features: Waterproof and cold insulation / buoyancy assistance
In water rescue on rivers, lakes and other water surfaces, firefighters can keep their bodies dry by wearing dry water rescue suits.

Technical highlights: Sealed cuffs and collar to stop water infiltration, built-in thermal insulation to cope with cold waters; some styles come with buoyancy materials to reduce physical exertion.

Underwater Wetsuits

Features: Tight and warm / underwater flexibility
Suitable for diving salvage, underwater breaking and demolition and other tasks, the material fits the body to reduce water resistance.

Working Principle: Through the body surface retains a very thin layer of water insulation, with diving equipment can dive to a depth of 30 metres, is the underwater rescue standard battle suit.

Beekeeping Protective Clothing

Features: Anti-sting, anti-sting / alternative training
When removing a hornet's nest, firefighters will wear a heavily armed anti-bee suit:

Structure Analysis: One-piece / split design available, helmet with dense mesh ventilation visor, gloves and rubber boots made of puncture-resistant material, full-body protection without dead angle.

Special use: Because the material is similar to chemical protection suit, it can be used for daily chemical protection training, but it is prohibited to contact with chemical hazards to avoid the bee suit material being corroded.

Aluminized Heat Reflective Clothing

Features: Reflective heat radiation / total body protection
In scenes such as smelter fires and high-temperature equipment rescue, the silver-coloured thermal insulation clothing is particularly eye-catching:

Material mystery: The surface layer of aluminium foil can reflect more than 80% of heat radiation, the inner layer of flame retardant fabric to further insulate; headgear built-in helmet, goggles to prevent splash burns eyes.

real-world scenario: Firefighters wearing aluminized heat reflective clothing near high-temperature furnaces, steam pipes, can safely complete the cooling down, transfer of dangerous goods and other tasks.

Electrical Insulating Suit

Features: High voltage insulation / acid and alkali resistance
In the face of leakage and electrocution accidents, the electric insulating suit is the umbrella of life protection:

Core Performance: Nylon covered insulating fabric, can withstand 7000V high voltage, flame retardant and acid and alkali resistant; no metal fittings on the whole body to avoid the risk of conductivity.

Operation specification: Electric insulating suit needs to be used with insulated gloves and insulated boots to ensure that firefighters can work safely next to electrified equipment (such as high-voltage wires and leaky electrical appliances).

Why are there Multiple Colours for Firefighting Uniforms

Orange / Red (fire-fighting combat uniform): Highly recognisable and easy to locate for search and rescue in the fire scene;

Blue (rescue and rescue clothing): Distinguished from the fire scene, applicable to multi-disaster scenarios;

White / Silver (heat insulation suit / fire avoidance suit): Reflect heat, reduce high temperature damage;

Green / Black (water rescue suit): Close to the natural environment, reduce the disturbance of underwater organisms.

These rescue suits with different colours and functions are like the firefighter's Hundreds of Variations Battle Suit, guarding every retrograde with professional design. The next time you meet a fire truck, you may want to pay attention to these guardian colours, behind which hides the two-way running of technology and life.
