Fire Fighting Suit Problems and Solutions

Firefighters in indoor smoke and fire in high-temperature space fire fighting and rescue may be due to insufficient protection of fire-fighting protective clothing and leading to shorter operating time and personal safety risks. The main problems arising from the investigation are as follows:


1. When a firefighter enters an indoor smoke and fire hot space and needs to carry an air breathing apparatus, the firefighter's shoulders and upper back and other parts of the back due to the pressure of the back leading to the compaction between the layers of the protective clothing material, the air gap becomes smaller, the heat conduction is faster, and the resistance to heat performance is reduced.

3. The fire helmet used by firefighters in the humid region is mainly a half-helmet, and there is a large gap between the protective area and the collar.
If we only rely on the regular small pendulum double-layer headgear, worn by the weak ability to resist the indoor smoke and fire in high temperature environments.

4. When firefighters into the indoor smoke and fire, high-temperature space firefighting operations will often be used in the knee pressure of the semi-crouching position forward, so the knee part of the protective clothing trousers wear-resistant, cushioning and heat-resistant properties of a higher requirement. 
Existing protective clothing trousers are difficult to meet the requirements, operators often need to additionally with knee pads to protect, but the current use of knee pads for non-flame-retardant materials and poor buffer function.

5. The current firefighter protective clothing trousers often appear leg tightening effect is not enough, resulting in high temperature and hot airflow from the foot into the trousers inside.

6.Due to the fire fighting and rescue process, firefighters have more rescue equipment and tools on the protective clothing needs, but the existing protective clothing only in the left and right shoulder position set up hanging tabs.

When the firefighter enters the indoor smoke and fire high temperature space which needs to carry the air breathing apparatus, the hanging tab is pressed by the empty call strap and becomes unusable, so that there is no place on the protective suit to hang the bauckle tool, which is very inconvenient.

1, Redesign the structure of the key parts of the internal protective clothing, in the shoulders and the back of the waist to do the design of the thermal insulation strip to increase the load-bearing parts of the thermal insulation area and thickness, to improve the thermal insulation effect, and at the same time the back of the empty call will feel more comfortable.

2.Redesign of the protective trouser carrying system, especially the style and adjustment of the straps, with additional thickness and soft comfort material (neoprene) in the load position of the straps. In addition, the contact area with the shoulders has been increased, thus solving the problems of auneven stress and slipping of the straps.


3, Collar protection problem: redesigned the structure of the headgear, on the basis of the existing headgear re-division and selection of materials, in the face and neck and other key parts of the thickening treatment, we Jiu Pai firefighting suits are designed with a multi-layer thickening treatment, to solve the problem of insufficient protection of the collar of the protective clothing.

4, We have thickened the knees of the existing protective trousers with removable knee pads made of high performance flame retardant non-Newtonian fluid flexible impact resistant material to achieve abrasion and impact resistance as well as improved thermal insulation. The elbows of the existing suit have also been thickened to increase the thickness and filled with a soft and comfortable material (neoprene) to improve thermal insulation.

5, Leg opening protection problems: redesigning the leg opening structure of the protective trousers, using windproof and anti-virus materials to design the windproof trouser leg structure to solve the problem of hot air and hot wind stringing up the leg opening. 

6, The hanging point tabs are not well designed: redesigned to add more tabs and glove hooks inside the pockets.
